OnePlus is rumoured to launch a new mid-range smartphone soon. The company recently launched the Nord CE 2 5G in India as its new mid-range offering. A Lite version of this device is rumoured to be in the works. OnePlus has not yet announced the Nord CE 2 Lite launch date. While we wait for that, new details of the phone have surfaced online.

A new report by 91Mobiles has revealed the design of the upcoming OnePlus smartphone. The report reveals the rear panel design along with the sides of the device. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite design renders, specifications and other details leaked online.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite Design

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will launch soon in India and other markets. The smartphone will sit below the Nord CE 2 5G which was launched in India. Ahead of the launch, the 91Mobiles report reveals the device’s rear panel design. The report reveals that the phone will get a glossy plastic rear panel with curved sides. The frame of the device is flat. OnePlus might make use of plastic material for the frame.

The device sports a rectangular camera module that houses two large cutouts and a smaller third one. There is also an LED flash inside the module. On the right side of the device lies the side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The left edge houses the volume keys and the SIM tray. As per the report, the Nord CE 2 Lite will come with a hybrid SIM tray instead of a dedicated slot for the micro-SD card. The bottom edge will house a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Of course, there is the primary speaker grille at the bottom edge of the device as well.

The report does not reveal the front of the device. However, it is expected to come with a hole-punch cutout, which will be located at the top left corner of the screen. The phone will run Android 12-based Oxygen OS 12 out of the box. It will be the first smartphone under the Nord series to come with Android 12 out of the box.

As per leaks, the phone will come with a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display. It is likely to draw power from a Snapdragon 695 SoC for 5G network support. The phone will have a 64MP main camera and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. For selfies, there will be a 16MP front camera. The phone is likely to pack a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It is likely to offer a 90hz refresh rate support.
