The used car market might be crazy right now, but you can still score a good deal on cars that are a few years old. One such car is a 2019 Toyota Camry, which provides buyers with an excellent value thanks to its fuel-efficient engine options, pillowy ride comfort, and excellent reliability. In case you happen to be in the market for a 2019 Camry, here is how to pick the right trim level.

Shopping for a 2019 Toyota Camry is not too unlike shopping for a new one. There are five different trim levels to choose from – L, LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. The first three trim levels are the more “normal” Camry trims, while the last two (SE and XSE) are the sportier variants. Regardless of the trim level, every 2019 Camry comes equipped with a 203-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that’s mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, Autotrader reports.
However, you can find a larger 305-hp, 3.5-liter V6 engine in the SE and XSE trim levels if you want more power. But if fuel efficiency is your main priority, then the base engine is the better choice as it can get up to 32 mpg in combined driving. The V6 engine, on the other hand, can get a combined fuel rating of 26 mpg. It’s also worth it to note that while the Camry comes standard in front-drive form, an all-wheel-drive configuration can be found as well.
If you want to make the most out of your budget for a used Camry, then the base L model can provide that. The entry-level trim comes standard with 16-inch wheels, a 7-inch infotainment screen, a six-speaker audio system, Apple Carplay, and Bluetooth. There was even an option for a Convenience package that includes a push-button start, keyless entry, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
In terms of safety, every 2019 Camry comes standard with a forward-collision warning, lane-departure alert, high-beam assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert features were optional.
Stepping up the Camry LE trim comes with a few upgrades over the base model. The Camry LE adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and an anti-theft system. Other options include a dual-zone climate control system, a wireless phone charger, and a power moonroof.
If you can find a Camry XLE, then you’ll be treated to more luxurious features like a 10-inch head-up display, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather seats, and upgraded LED exterior lights. An optional JBL premium sound system, a surround-view camera, and navigation are also available.
If you want some sporty flare from your Camry, then look for an SE trim level. This variant includes black 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, single-zone climate control, and a black mesh front grille. If you want everything the SE offers, but crave some of the luxurious touches of the XLE trim, then the XSE trim level is the way to go.
Taking a nationwide look at the 2019 Toyota Camry models for sale, you can expect to pay anywhere from $15,000 to $25,000 for one depending on the trim level your choose. Of course, the car’s condition, mileage, and location can play a factor as well. So don’t be too surprised if you find some selling for closer to $30,000 in some areas.
