OPPO has announced that it has seen users of its smartphones with their multiple devices all needing to do at least part of one thing with its new PC Connect feature. The OEM has now confirmed that the new term does indeed refer to a tool that makes sharing, syncing and working on both a device from its brand and a desktop or laptop much easier.
To this end, the new facility is now depicted as this OEM's answer to Microsoft's Your Phone, or to the latest aspects of Samsung's One UI . However, unlike the latter, PC Connect seems to be platform-agnostic as far as the device with the bigger screen goes. In fact, OPPO has yet to publicly finalize its software or hardware requirements, so it cannot be said whether the feature is, for example, Windows-only at this point.
What is more certain is that a user's phone would need to be on ColorOS 12 to use PC Connect. This can be done by downloading a new PC app via https://connect.oppo.com/en-US. However, they will only be able to do so from about February 2022 onward.
